The gloves take their name from one of the most famous roads in cycling’s history: La Trouée Arenberg, or the Arenberg Trench. A regular fixture on Paris-Roubaix since it first appeared in 1968, the Arenberg is a 2.4km stretch of brutal cobbles that is notorious for separating the strong from the weak.
Riding over such terrain demands ample padding. The Arenberg Gel Long Finger Gloves have generous gels pads across the palms and silicone grips to aid control. Micromesh panel backs help to keep your hands cool and there are microsuede panels on the thumbs for nose and sweat duties. The Castelli Damping System (CDS) protects your median nerves, and adjustable wrist closures mean you get the perfect fit.
Whether you’re taking to cobbles, you simply prefer more padded gloves, or you’re riding over gravel, the Arenberg Gel Long Finger Gloves will ensure a smooth ride.
